Document Inquiry: Multi-downloading PDF/TIFF/PNG documents
       The user can download several documents simultaneously FullDocument, Drawing and FirstPage        are now available in PDF, TIFF or PNG. In the Document Inquiry section, a new filter allows the        user to select only the type of documents to be downloaded.

     The new detailed user manual is integrated in Matheo Patent
       The user can now access to the user manual with the F1 key. The user manual is available in        English and Spanish.

     Title and Abstract in original language
       For all WO, EP and some other patents, the title and abstract are available in the original        language. Title and abstract may be translated in up to 3 languages.

     Family member picture
       Matheo Patent shows the picture of a family member if the selected patent doesn’t have one in bibliographic data and abstract.

     Auto-Synonym Selection
       A new method is used now (based on the Soundex algorithm) to propose the automated merging of applicant and inventors having near names.

     Matrices improvements
       Cells colors, row/column sizes are changed for a better reading and understanding.

     Quickly Merging PDF
       A new method is used to merge quickly PDF documents.

     New Tab "Textual Analysis" on the main screen
       This new tab displays the keywords detected in titles and abstracts.

Tips & Tricks

     Examples of the efficient use of the Local Search Engine (L.S.E.).

      TI/motor* and APP/airbus
         Select patents with "motor" or "motor*" in the title AND with one of the applicants named "airbus"

         Note on the truncation * : "motor*" means all words beginning with motor, eg. motors, motorized, motorization, ...

      IPC/G06F* and PD/2007
         Select patents with all ipc codes beginning by G06F AND the publication year 2007

      TI/(motor* or plane*) and AB/combustion and IPC/G06F* and not IPC/F*
         Select patents with "motor*" or "plane*" (with right truncation) in their title AND "combustion" in the abstract AND ipc codes
         beginning by G06F AND exclude the patents with ipc codes beginning with "F".

         Note: Patents can have several IPC codes

      TI/"smart card" and not TI/plastic*
         Select Patents with the exact match "smart card" AND without the word "plastic*" (with right truncation) in the title.

      DOP/6
         Select patents with a pertinence ranked 6.

      TXT/"smart card"
         Select patents with the exact match "smart card" in all textual fields (title or abstract or claims or description).

     Cleanup a selected field


The "Cleanup Field" feature allows the user to simplify quickly and automatically an information field with the merging of similar or equivalent items.


Step 1: Choose the right to be proceeded

Step 2: Click on the button "Field Cleaner"


Step 3: For each item found by the cleanup algorithm, the user selects and validates the equivalents items

The field is automatically updated with the merging of the selected items.
